Hours after that, the Bhoot Police actress took to her Instagram account to issue a statement, for the first time since her name was dragged in the Rs 200 crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. In her post, Jacqueline said that she hopes "justice and good sense prevails".

Several photographs of Sukesh and Jacqueline have been doing the rounds on social media ever since the actress's name came up in the Rs 200 crore extortion case. Earlier today, another leaked photograph of the two, where Sukesh was seen kissing Jacqueline on the nose, went viral. Hours after that, Jacqueline took to Instagram to issue a statement. The actress did not caption the post and also restricted comments on the post.

The text photograph read, "This country and its people have given me tremendous love and respect. This includes my friends from the media, from whom I have learned a lot. I'm currently going through a rough patch but I'm sure that my friends and my fans will see me through. It is with this trust that I would request my media friends to not circulate images of a nature that intrude on my privacy and personal space. You would not do this to your own loved ones, am sure you would not do this to me either. Hoping that justice and good sense prevails. Thank you (sic). She signed off with a folded-hand emoji.
